Dallas Empire (8.7)
The Dallas Empire earned their fair share of praiseworthy placings this season. For starters, they finished second at two Major events this season and finished first in qualifying on two occasions. To round their season out, the franchise finished third at playoffs barely missing out on a spot in the Grand Finals. The good news for this team is that they’re looking to keep the core of their roster intact for a third-year running. Anthony “Shotzzy” Cuevas-Castro, Indervir “ILLeY” Dhaliwal, and Ian “Crimsix” Porter clearly enjoy teaming together. Their third year has the potential to be the best yet.
Reece “Vivid” Drost was the perfect late-season addition to add to the harmonious balance of this roster. He may just be the odd man out next year. Regardless, it is hard to imagine a new player who can mess with this group’s chemistry. Failing to win a Major sure is a bummer but with a series win percentage of nearly 60% and a total of 400 CDL points, this season was far from a failure for the Dallas Empire.
