Seattle Surge (4.1)
Seattle Surge players and fans suffered in unison this season. However, that suffering gave birth to one of the most exciting matches of the 2021 CDL season. The Surge defeated the seemingly unbeatable Atlanta FaZe as the fourth game of a four-game win streak during the Stage 5 Major. That said, Seattle missed out on the playoffs by a significant margin.
Nonetheless, the players should be proud of their complete turnaround on LAN. They played like a completely different team, with Nicholas “Classic” DiCostanzo and Preston “Prestinni” Sanderson looking particularly rejuvenated. However, question marks surround Seattle’s future as the franchise announced the release of every player on the roster following Champs.
