OpTic Chicago (7.9)
Frustration was the name of the game for OpTic Chicago this season. It was a true tale of two teams, as on one hand OpTic would come out strong in qualifiers. They seemed like a difficult team to play against in qualifier matches. Yet, they never got it going at Major events this season. One disappointing result at a Major after another haunted this roster. It was truly strange to see two seasoned players in Scump and Formal struggle during high-pressure situations.
Despite some solid play on LAN from the squad, this team is left picking up the pieces of a lackluster season. OpTic enters the offseason with several unanswered questions to attend to. The most concerning of the bunch is what to do with this roster. The four individuals seem to have great rapport outside of the game. However, if they can’t get that positivity to translate in the game, one has to imagine a roster move looms on the horizon.
