Get ready for Cristiano Ronaldo in Fatal Fury City of the Wolves.
The legendary footballer is making his way to one of the most anticipated fighting games.
But what will he be like, and when they say Wolves, do they mean the football team?
Cristiano Ronaldo In Fatal Fury City Of The Wolves
Firstly, yes, you heard me right. Ronaldo in Fatal Fury is not a meme he posted a teaster just a while ago.
Also keep in mind that Americans might not comprehend this decision. For those unaware, Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the world’s most famous football players. Im calling it football because it is football!

His most famous peak was around the time he played for Manunited in the Premier League. At 39 years old, the guy still plays fantastic at the game, which is incredible considering how many footballers retire around the early 30s.
But for Fatal Fury, this marks the first ever guest character. And not only is it the first guest but potentialy a real person if the case!
So far all we have to go on is a teaser trailer not showing much. However, the teaser really focuses on him and his namesake, so it is safe to say the guy must be heavily involved with the game. Most likely being featured in it as a fighter or an announcer of some sort.

Look after Negan from the Walking Dead turned up in Tekken 7; anything is now possible! So while we have nothing confirmed as of yet, many fans are speculating and hoping that the pro forward player will be made playable in the game.
Ronaldo in Fatal Fury will be the biggest guest fighter appearance there has ever been since Yoda in Soulcalibar! But for those wondering, the rights are in limbo with that one, so enjoy emulators if you want him and Vadar!
City Of The Wolverhamptons
But why has SNK put Ronaldo in Fatal Fury, you may be asking? Well, to put it simply, it’s a genius move given the playerbase.

For those unaware of Fatal Fury or King of Fighters, it is very popular with South America. Yes, I know Ronaldo in Fatal Fury is from Portugal. Yes, but see, South America loves football.
Trust me, the only thing better for the Mexican market would be dropping Goku into it! But look at the top players at any SNK tournament recently. All of the top players and attendees are from Southern America.
So you want to market to your playerbase IE Mexico and want someone that they would like IE a footballer.
Also, let’s be real, Fatal Fury is still kind of niche in terms of fighters. Yes, Terry is in almost everything nowadays, but are you playing KOF? The fact it is Terry and not the other poster boy, Kyo or K, is telling how much modern audiences know of the series.

Most other people who do not know KOF would just be like, “Oh Terry, that DLC fighter from Smash!”
But Ronaldo is a name known across the globe and will bring a lot of eyes to the franchise.
Unless you know… they are just putting him in the game as a t-shirt or something!
