Five Nights at Freddy’s is heading to Rocket League as part of a Halloween collaboration teased on social media, bringing the horror franchise’s iconic animatronic characters into the soccer-inspired car game.
The announcement featured a short, security-camera-style video showing a worn-down soccer field and a goalpost. After a ball rolled into the goal, Freddy Fazbear appeared in an oversized form, delivering a jumpscare that hinted at the spooky content planned for the upcoming crossover.
Although the teaser offered only a brief glimpse of the collaboration, it confirmed that Five Nights at Freddy’s would be part of Rocket League’s Halloween festivities in 2026.
What to Expect From the Five Nights at Freddy’s Crossover
The teaser has not revealed the full lineup of items or features coming to Rocket League. However, the collaboration could introduce cosmetics inspired by Freddy Fazbear and other characters from the horror franchise.
Potential additions could include themed vehicle designs, decorative items, and special goal explosions. Freddy’s appearance in the teaser is particularly notable, as it could hint at a goal-scoring animation or another Halloween-themed in-game effect. These possibilities remain unconfirmed until further details are announced.
The crossover is expected to tie into Rocket League’s Haunted Hallows Halloween event, although the developers have yet to reveal the complete event lineup, its release date, or the availability of any potential items.
Players will have to wait for additional information to learn whether the collaboration will feature purchasable cosmetics, event challenges, or other limited-time content.
Five Nights at Freddy’s Expands Its Gaming Collaborations
The Rocket League announcement adds another potential crossover to an increasingly busy period for Five Nights at Freddy’s. The franchise has continued to expand beyond its traditional survival-horror roots, appearing in other popular multiplayer games and reaching new audiences.
One notable collaboration arrived in Dead by Daylight, where Springtrap joined the roster as a Killer, bringing the animatronic horror franchise into the asymmetrical multiplayer experience.
The series has also entered Fortnite, giving players another way to experience its characters within a different gaming environment. Its upcoming appearance in Rocket League would further demonstrate the franchise’s growing presence across genres.
For Rocket League, the collaboration offers an opportunity to add a recognizable horror theme to its seasonal Halloween content. Freddy Fazbear’s appearance in the announcement already provides a memorable teaser, but the full scope of the event remains unknown.
