On Sunday in Berlin, G2 Gozen won the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) Game Changers Championship by completing a reverse sweep of Shopify Rebellion GC. G2 Gozen won the first women’s-only VALORANT tournament, earning a $180,000 first prize.

Prior to Sunday’s best-of-five championship game, all matches were best-of-three. By triumphing 13-9 on both Pearl and Bind, Rebellion gained a 2-0 advantage. G2 Gozen avoided defeat with an overwhelming 13-3 victory on Ascent. The eventual winners then heated up, winning 13-2 on Icebox and 13-5 on Breeze to clinch the 3-2 score for G2.
G2 Gozen’s Mary is the MVP of VCT Game Changers Championship
The MVP award went to Maryam “Mary” Maher of Bahrain, who topped G2 with 83 kills and a plus-22 kills-deaths differential. Petra “Petra” Stoker, a Dutch teammate, contributed 79 kills and a plus-19 K-D. With 89 kills and a plus-17 K-D to lead Rebellion, American Kayla “flowerful” Horton set a new match record. Rebellion accepted a second-place payout of $110,000.
