The psychological horror game from Serafini Productions will also receive a new Steam demo
Wired Productions and Japanese developer Serafini Productions have announced that BrokenLore: DON’T LIE will launch on September 10, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Ahead of its release, a new demo is now available on Steam as part of Steam Next Fest, allowing players to experience the beginning of the psychological horror game.
A Story About Isolation and Memory
BrokenLore: DON’T LIE follows Junko, a hikikomori who has isolated herself from the outside world for years.
As Junko’s carefully controlled life begins to fall apart, her surroundings start changing around her. Familiar locations become distorted versions of places from her past as long-buried memories begin to resurface.
Players will explore Junko’s memories while investigating the events that shaped her life. The game focuses on themes including trauma, loneliness, isolation and fractured memory, with its environments changing according to Junko’s perception and experiences.
The game features Japanese voice acting and combines exploration and investigation with psychological horror. An unseen presence also reacts to the player’s actions as Junko gets closer to uncovering the truth behind her memories.
What to Expect From BrokenLore: DON’T LIE
According to the developers, the game will feature:
- First-person psychological horror set in Japan
