Popular streamer Felix “xQc” has been in the news lately due to recent comments made by fellow streamer Ninja about xQc’s streaming deal with Kick. Naturally, this has also sparked several fan discussions and rumors in the gaming community.
For those who are out of loop, xQc signed a non-exclusive contract worth a whopping $100 million with the livestreaming platform, Kick in June 2023. Ninja speculated that this deal might have something to do with xQc’s gambling activities and that he could not have received all the money upfront. Felix, however, didn’t take these comments lightly and has cleared up the speculations.
Fortnite streamer Ninja speculated the announcement of the deal was “misleading” and that the contract is tied with stocks, gambling and other incentives. To which xQc has responded, saying “The deal has nothing to do with gambling. The Kick streamer further explained the payment structure of his two-year deal and how he receives payments from the platform monthly.
xQc Explains How His Kick Streaming Payments Work
XQc revealed that Kick wires him a fixed amount every month, in response to Ninja’s comments speculating that xQc’s deal might have something to do with equity in Stake, the company backing Kick. XQc said:
“I get a fixed amount that is wired straight up every month like any other job or sponsor you can get. Every month I get one standard wire amount directly into my accounts and no bullsh*t, no stock amounts. The deal has nothing to do with gambling, nothing to do with Stake, nothing to do with Crypto.
No equity, no stocks, no future. It’s all just flat-out. The contract broke down into 24 months and I get one month of that every time except when I slow down, and I got a signing bonus and an advance. So, they give me more of a chunk up front. SO not only do I get paid every month, I got paid way more in the earlier months.”
