There are two semifinal matchups ahead of us at Worlds 2022. The season end is at the door and the finalists will be clear in a few days!
This year, eastern teams dominated the world championship stage. Only one western team made it out of the group stage and JDG swept them in the first round of the playoffs. Now, it is time to decide who the finalists are going to be. The Worlds 2022 Semifinal matches are ahead of us with three teams from LCK and one from LPL. Here are the matchups:
The first matchup is between the only LPL representative remaining at the tournament and Faker’s T1. JD Gaming surely put in a great effort this season and proved their worth by winning the LPL trophy. However, T1 are one of the favorites of the tournament. Faker and Yagao’s battle in the mid lane will be interesting to watch. If T1 manage to take down JDG, there won’t be any LPL teams left. LCK teams are more successful this year.
The second Worlds 2022 Semifinal matchup will be played between two LCK teams, Gen.G and DRX. Gen.G won the LCK trophy this year to guarantee a spot at the tournament and DRX made their way from the play-ins. Gen.G won both games during LCK 2022 Summer split. DRX might pull out a surprise but the favorites are Gen.G for sure. In the first round of the playoffs, DRX took down EDG and Gen.G topped DWG KIA.
Only a couple of days left for the challenge. All teams look strong on paper and the competitions look tough. It will be interesting to watch the semifinals soon for sure.
