After the semifinal results, two LCK teams, T1 and DRX are going to face each other at the Worlds 2022 Grand Finals.
This year’s World Championship competition is almost over. The last semifinal game was between DRX and Gen.G the other day. Surprisingly, DRX took down the latest LCK winner to face T1 at the Worlds 2022 Grand Final. None of the Chinese teams made it to this year’s final, the first time since 2017.Â
T1 Roster
- Choi “Zeus” Woo-je
- Moon “Oner” Hyeon-joon
- Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok
- Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong
- Ryu “Keria” Min-seok
T1’s recent performances looked far away from the organization’s past achievements. However, this year the team looks solid, reaching the LCK Finals and taking down the LPL champions before reaching the Worlds 2022 Grand Final. This year might feature Faker’s return to the top. One of the best players in history, Faker failed to lift the championship trophy for a while now. With the younger core around him, T1’s recent performances might lead to a possible championship.
DRX Roster
- Hwang “Kingen” Seong-hoon
- Hong “Pyosik” Chang-hyeon
- Kim “Zeka” Geon-woo
- Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu
- Cho “BeryL” Geon-hee
DRX’s Worlds 2022 performance sounds like a fairytale for most. For the first time in history, a team from play-ins made it to the World Championship Final. Zeka looked like the main factor of the success but DRX’s team chemistry looked better than most of the teams in the tournament. Deft’s story is also a very interesting one to follow as the veteran marksman is now a Worlds Finalist.
The Worlds 2022 Grand Final which will be between DRX and T1 is on November 6th. Until then, the teams have time to prepare for the finals. It will be an interesting final to watch as DRX’s performance is definitely a lot better than their LCK run. They might pull out a surprise but we will need to wait a little more to see the competition!
