There is new DLC and a Witcher 3 Free Remaster up for grabs if you act now!
CD Projekt Red dropped on a bombshell this Gamescome at the end.
But what is this remaster all about and for how long is this offer?
Witcher 3 Free Remaster
Firstly the Witcher 3 Free Remaster upgrade is for anyone who owns the game. But this only applies for people who own the base game before September 29th. Also this remaster will include the two dlcs Blood and Wine and Stonehearts.
However this only goes for PC, PS5 and Xbox series and Switch 2 owners. Although that does pretty much cover everybody. This remaster will include some big or even huge changes to the base game.
But keep in mind the Witcher 3 Free remaster does not include the new DLC. Songs of the past will be released after the remaster comes out of course. So you got to save up some gold for that when it does.
However the remaster itself comes with a massive visual overhaul to the game. The graphics are sharper the colors are brighter and things look better.
Firstly combat has been enhanced with new weapons and weightier hits. Although I cannot rate before seeing non trailer gameplay it looks less floaty than before. Adding to this the mounts and their handling have been revamped for tighter control.
Secondly the stat progression and leveling up system have been overhauled. Because the skill-tree itself has been revamped and switched about. It looks kind of similar but the stats and changes are probably more significant.
Lastly transmogifcation has been changed to make it more usable and streamlined than before.
However if I were to list every change I would be here all day as the trialer throws at you an elder scrolls worth of adjustments.
Ill Buy That For A Dollar
So before it fully releases you will be able to grab the Witcher 3 Free remaster. All you have to do is buy the game that came out 10 years ago! Because if you do not I can guarantee the price will go up higher.
And just like everything in the world right now prices will go up. Also if you do not already own this game then there is something wrong. Even if you are not big into fantasy or swords its worth a shot.
The biggest sell is its Polish Shrek. Although fellow readers of The Last Wish may crucify me for simplifying it down so much. The game is a fantastic translation of the earnest fantasy setting of Sapowski.
However the game is like the books fantastic at story telling. Even I would say the main plot is not the most interesting but it has so many touching and kino moments in it. The setting, the characters and the soul of the game is worth playing for an hour to see if it clicks.
Also the Witcher 3 Free Remaster is such a genuine sign of compassion from a developer. What could have been an easy price hike is just being given away.
Whether or not it will tank the FPS on older hardware we will have to see…
