Picking out the top 3 Widowmaker skins in Overwatch 2 isn’t an easy task. With so many out there, it can be difficult to pick the best. Because quite a few of her skins are no longer available for purchase, it makes finding ones that players can get even harder.
However, her loyal fans will do what it takes to get whatever cosmetics they can grab for her. These followers are huge collectors, and will try and get their hands on as many skins as possible for the hero. But for new players, it may be hard to know which of these skins are worth picking up.
Older players may have skins like Noire Widowmaker, but it would be unfair to put it on a list knowing players could never get it. So the skins on this list won’t be anything crazy. Hopefully, they should be fairly easy for players to pick up at their leisure, or within a year’s time for events.
So, to help aspiring Widowmaker mains figure out how to spend their hard-earned credits and coins, here are the top 3 Widowmaker skins in Overwatch 2.
While there is no particular order in this list, Côte d’Azur is probably Widowmaker’s most popular and most used skin. Players love the beach vibes the skin gives off and the fact that it gives the hero a cool and unique outfit really sets it apart from her other cosmetics.
Beach skins are usually very popular with players, like Junkrat or Torbjorn’s beach skins. However, they might still not see as much play as this Widowmaker skin.
Complete with some sweet shades, a new hairdo, and, of course, a new, beachy looking weapon. After all, she’s gotta show the other beachgoers she still means business.
This cosmetic was initially released as a part of the Summer games event in Overwatch 1, making it an event-exclusive skin. But with the introduction of Overwatch 2, it is not available for players to pick up at any time in the hero shop.
With a skin as awesome as this, there is no doubt that it is one of the top 3 Widowmaker skins in Overwatch 2.
This Widowmaker cosmetic is one of her newer ones, being released just months ago as a part of the Battle for Olympus event. There, players had the chance to purchase it in the shop for a short period.
This cosmetic instantly attracted many Widow players, and even brought more Widow mains into the mix just because of how cool this skin is.
Her hair is completely redone to look like it’s made of snakes. Her eyes have that cold, dead glare to them that strikes fear into enemies. Plus, she has her traditional, gold embroidered Greek robe to top it all off.
This skin is obviously very popular, but some players were upset that it was not in the battle pass. However, it offers an interesting opportunity for those who missed out on this skin.
Since it wasn’t in the pass, it is much more likely for players to be able to get it again in the shop at a discounted price sometime soon.
Battle pass skins haven’t come back yet, despite rumors, but past shop skins are already making the rounds, so players who missed out the first time can use this change to grab one of the top 3 Widowmaker skins in Overwatch 2.
Ange de la Morte
While last on the list, it doesn’t mean that this cosmetic isn’t amazing. In fact, it is one of the hero’s most sought after skins. Ange de la Morte, meaning “Angel of Death”, suits Widowmaker well. Her ruthless attitude and cold demeanor prove that she only has death on her mind.
To sell the theme, Blizzard gave Widow a black cowl, similar to death’s robe, piercing red eyes, and many other death motifs that players can catch if they look closely enough.
This cosmetic was first made available for the June Joust Tournament in 2021 and players were buying it thinking it would never come back. Many newer players aren’t too happy that they missed out on such a landmark skin.
However, just recently, there have been many of the old Overwatch League event skins coming back into the shop for players to purchase. These skins never came back in Overwatch 1. So giving players the change to grab them in Overwatch 2 curried Blizzard huge favor.
Even Ange de la Morte made a comeback, giving those new Widowmaker players the chance to own a piece of history. A Widow skin considered to be a relic in its own right deserves to be nowhere else than the top 3 Widowmaker skins in Overwatch 2.
There are plenty of other great Widowmaker skins to grab, but these 3 are the ones voted by the community as the most played and most popular . And, of course, they had to be somewhat attainable. Players that didn’t get the chance to pick up any of these skins shouldn’t worry too much.
Blizzard has made a point to put into action the point that many “exclusive” skins are now going to start making their way back. So for those who want these cosmetics but don’t have them, be patient and save up. You’ll get your time sometime soon.
