Genshin Impact 2.2 update leaks reveal new map areas and Tsurumi Island gameplay.
Surrounded by a thick fog and inhabited by unusual creatures, the hauntingly beautiful Tsurumi Island is set to be released around the 12th of October 2021, in the Genshin Impact 2.2 update.
Tsurumi Island gameplay reveal
Among the many gameplay leaks, one thing is for certain—Tsurumi Island is both mysterious and haunted. The gameplay reveals a dark and stormy sky, dead trees, and the appearance of spirits which only enhances the island’s creepy atmosphere.
What’s interesting about Tsurumi Island is that the weather conditions will change depending upon the time of day. Some of these conditions include lighting changes and varying visibility due to the island’s fog.
To explore the island, players will need to roam the island at specific times to avoid being hindered by the dense fog. This will be a unique experience as time will either impede or assist players in their quest to explore the island.
At this point in time, the effects of the different weather conditions on a player are mostly unknown. In some of the gameplay leaks, however, it’s revealed that certain weather conditions will influence and deal damage to a player’s character.
Tsurumi Island map reveal
Tsurumi Island is much larger than fans expected with seven waypoints (one being a Statue of the Seven which is located on the Eastern side of the map) and several new areas to explore.
With twenty-nine new Electroculi to find, Tsurumi Island is expected to have many puzzles and mysteries for fans to solve.
So far, there are seven locations on Tsurumi Island: Shirikoro Peak, Chirai Shrine, Oina Beach, Autake Plains, Mt. Kanna, Moshiri Ceremonial Site, and Wakukau Shoal. However, as this information has been sourced from leaks, the names are subject to change and may differ from the official release in October 2021.
