Valorant recently revived one of its iconic skin lines with a remastered edition: the Wasteland 2.0 bundle.
Fans of the post-apocalyptic style have high expectations. But does this version deliver, or is it just a nostalgia cash grab? Here’s what you need to know.
What is the Wasteland 2.0 bundle?
The Wasteland 2.0 bundle is a reimagined version of Riot’s original Wasteland collection, which first appeared in Patch 1.12 (Episode 1). Riot is bringing back the aesthetic but with tweaks and additions fitting the current Valorant environment.

Instead of just re-releasing old skins, the 2.0 iteration introduces new weapons and a fresh melee option. The style leans heavily into a “found in the ruins” look. Scrap metal, duct tape, rusted plates, textile wrappings, and aggressive, rugged forms.
Riot has placed this collection in the Deluxe tier, which generally means no animations, no finishers, and limited interactive features.
What’s inside? (Weapons & Design)
Here are the items included in the Wasteland 2.0 bundle:
- Phantom: Retains its core silhouette but rebuilt with metal plates, corrugated surfaces, and structural additions
- Bulldog: A rugged take, with visible bolts, pipe elements, and reinforcement
- Bucky: Heavy and brutal, with a patched-together frame, added metal plates, and wrapped details
- Outlaw: Integrates into the wasteland aesthetic with pipes and industrial design
- Melee – Crowbar: A standout, brutal melee in the form of a serrated hook or crowbar. It leans into the survival look, combining metal shards and wrap work

Unlike more premium bundles, Wasteland 2.0 has no animations, custom kill effects, or dynamic elements. Its appeal is purely visual, texture work, form, and thematic cohesion.
Price & Availability
The full Wasteland 2.0 bundle costs 5,100 VP. Individual weapon skins go for about 1,275 VP each, while the melee (crowbar) is priced around 2,550 VP.
Earlier rumors mentioned a lower bundle cost, similar to the original Wasteland bundle, but recent store listings confirm the higher price tag.

The bundle dropped shortly after Patch 11.07 and will remain in the store for about two weeks. After that, skins may appear individually in the daily offers, but the full bundle likely won’t return as is.
Community Reactions & Critiques
Players’ responses to the Wasteland 2.0 bundle have been mixed. Some praise the return of a beloved skin line and the new inclusions. Others express disappointment that Riot didn’t add animations or enhanced effects to make it feel more “modern.”
A recurring criticism: why remaster an old line without upgrading its tech? One Reddit comment summed it up:
“New bundle has been revealed … Comes with a bucky, bulldog, crowbar melee, outlaw and phantom … but does it have animations?”
That said, the aesthetic itself is strong for fans of gritty, post-catastrophe visuals. The textures, color palette (rusty grays, steel, tattered wraps, red and blue accents), and design language are consistent and immersive.
Is the Wasteland 2.0 bundle worth buying?
That depends on your priorities. Here’s a breakdown:
Pros
- Unique aesthetic: If you love the “scrap metal / Mad Max” vibe, this bundle nails it
- Full set: You get four weapons and a melee in one package
- Thematic cohesion: All skins align in design, making your arsenal feel consistent
Cons
- No animations or effects: You won’t get any dynamic flair or interactive touches
- Price premium: 5,100 VP is a steep price for non-animated skins
- Time limit: The bundle is temporary, if you hesitate, you may miss it
- No additional extras: No sprays, cards, buddies. It’s purely weapon skins and melee
If you already collect Valorant skins and enjoy theming your loadout, the Wasteland 2.0 bundle is a compelling choice. But if you prefer skins with particle effects, animations, or extra flair, this might feel like a letdown.

In sum, the Wasteland 2.0 bundle delivers strong visual design and nostalgia, but it stops short of premium polish. It’s worth buying if you’re a fan of the style and don’t mind the lack of animated features.
