Raven Software has released the full patch notes for Call of Duty: Warzone’s season 4 update. Including playlist updates, a limited-time event, a new battle pass, a new Gulag, map changes around Farmland, ACT, the Summit bridge and the Salt Mines. Many weapons have also received tweaks, with the promise of a huge weapon balance patch to come soon.
Playlist Update
To kick things off, Rebirth Duos and Blood Money Plunder Quads have been replaced with regular Plunder quads on Verdansk and Resurgence Mini Trios, both on Verdansk. Rebirth Island Quads remains in place after recent popular support.
- Added:
- Verdansk – BR – Resurgence Mini Trios
- Verdansk – Plunder – Quads
- Removed:
- Verdansk – Plunder – Blood Money Quads
- Rebirth Island – Resurgence Duos
With news guns being added this patch, Plunder Quads is a welcome return as a fast path to max leveling the guns through Recon blitzing.
Verdansk Resurgence Mini is a new faster-paced mode that entirely skips the first circle and features lobby sizes of up to 45 players, potentially halving the length of the game. To compensate for the lack of time, higher tier loot densely populates the map
New Event – Ground Fall
As is tradition at this point, the new season launches with a limited-time event. This time most of the objects are geared towards exploring the newly fallen satellites scattered around the map.
“Find and secure the new Sat-Link stations to triangulate the location of a falling satellite in Verdansk. Loot the fallen satellites to score exclusive loot and cash rewards during the game. The objectives for this event will reward you with items such as Emblems, Calling Cards, a Satellite Weapon Charm, as well as some XP. Complete all three Challenges from either Cold War or Warzone, and you’ll receive an Epic Secondary Weapon Blueprint.” – Raven Software

Map Changes
In addition to the new satellite crash zones located at Krovnik Farmland, Bloc 18 (near Salt Mines), Bloc 16 (near ACT) and Gora Bridge, mysterious red doors have appeared across Verdansk. These are likely tied to an easter egg that is yet to be solved, or they will become active with the mid-season patch allowing a form of fast travel across Verdansk similar to the previously removed metro system.
To the relief of many, a new Gulag is in play this season, removing the L-shaped street corner Gulag from season 3, which was often dubbed as unbalanced due to its a-symmetrical design.

Gameplay
Roze’s Rook skin has received another material update with the hopes of making the operator more visible in darker places. Hopefully at the third time of asking this actually works as it’s often easier to spot Batman on dark nights compared to her.
The most welcoming surprise in the patch notes is the inclusion of a fix that ensures that players rage-quitting and disconnecting when downed or in the middle of being executed with a finishing move still drop loot and the killer is accredited the kill. It’s a fix that is honestly overdue but nevertheless extremely welcome.
To celebrate Pride month, 8 new LGBTQIA+ Calling Cards have been added to each player’s inventory for free. Available by navigating to the Barracks in the menu.
A new Dirt bike has also been added. The bike is the fastest vehicle in the game, can drift at high speeds and will require mastery to get the best out of it. It has low durability and can carry two operators, with almost no room to stack a 3rd on the hitbox.
Two of the new weapons (C58 and MG 82) have been added to the ground loot pool, and the Combat Bow Killstreak from the 80’s event has returned as chest loot. Self-Revive spawn rates have been reduced across all game modes.
The 1911 starter handgun has received a slight nerf to its melee capabilities, increasing the number of melee hits to down an operator from 2 to 3. This should make hot dropping slightly less chaotic and reduce instances of being stuck arming a ground loot weapon whilst someone pounds your face in.
Finally, the Snapshot Grenade has received a sizeable buff, increasing its duration from 1.25 to 2 seconds, whilst also highlighting enemies to your team.
The patch is available now, with download sizes ranging from roughly 11 GB on consoles to 13.5 GB on PC.
