After signing a competitive roster to begin the LPL 2022 Spring split, Victory Five has matched Weibo Gaming in the standings.
Victory Five used to be one of the underdogs of LPL but this year they are playing better than before. After signing Lee “Rich” Jae-won, Hung “Karsa” Hao-Hsuan, and Song “Rookie” Eui-jin, they shifted gear and challenged the first spot in the standings. They only have one game loss compared to Weibo Gaming, as LPL games are being played in BO3 format.
Victory Five LPL 2022 Spring Roster
- Lee “Rich” Jae-won
- Hung “Karsa” Hao-Hsuan
- Li “XLB” Xiao-Long
- Song “Rookie” Eui-jin
- Ying “Photic” Qi-Shen
- Guo “ppgod” Peng
Rich was a professional Heros of the Storm player in the past but decided to switch to League of Legends and began his new career with Gen.G. Before this season, he played in LCK. Karsa is one of the best junglers in the world and he has proved it with his previous performances and achievements. Lastly, Rookie is an icon thanks to his Invictus Gaming years. He is both popular and talented, which a team could benefit from a lot.
Victory Five started their LPL 2022 Spring journey with a 2-1 win over Team WE. They faced Rare Atom in their second game and picked up another 2-1 win. After beating Top Esports to catch a three-game winning streak, Weibo Gaming upset V5 in their fourth game of the split. After that game, V5 took down OMG, Invictus Gaming, Royal Never Give Up, LGD Gaming, EDward Gaming, and LNG Esports.
Besides their upper side trio, Victory Five’s bottom laner players, Photic and ppgod, are also decent at their jobs. The team will face JD Gaming, UltraPrime, Bilibili Gaming, and Anyone’s Legend to conclude their regular-season run. It is still not guaranteed but they will probably compete in the playoffs.
