The City of Angels will play host to the world’s top VALORANT teams as they vie for the title of World Champion in the 2023 VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT).
As the home of VALORANT’s newest agent – Gekko, Los Angeles will welcome players, creators, and fans from around the world for the pinnacle of the competitive season.
Last year’s sold-out arena and an online audience of over 1.5 million viewers witnessed LOUD defeat Optic Gaming in a thrilling 3-1 match, earning them the right to lift the 2022 Champions Cup.
With new rosters and leagues established globally, it remains to be seen which team will emerge victorious this year.
VCT Los Angeles Regional Qualification Slots
Undoubtedly, the journey to Champions will be challenging. Teams from North America, Brazil, Latin America, EMEA, and Asia will compete for one of the 16 qualification slots.
Following LOCK//IN, VCT teams will compete in their respective regional competitions. Specifically, teams from the Americas, PACIFIC, and EMEA leagues will qualify for Masters Tokyo. Ultimately, the winners will punch their tickets through VCT Los Angeles.
Kia Forum to Host the Finals of VCT Los Angeles
The VCT Los Angeles is the first-ever international VALORANT tournament in North America. It will take place in August, with the Shrine Auditorium hosting the opening rounds from August 6-20.
The field of 16 will be whittled down to the top four. Thereafter, these four will then move on to compete in the iconic Kia Forum.
This stadium is the largest capacity venue in the history of VALORANT esports. The tournament will take place over three days, culminating in the Final on August 26.
