The end of the year destination for VALORANT’s competitive scene has been determined. According to Upcomer’s Tyler Erzberger, VALORANT Champions 2021 is going to take place in Los Angeles, USA. Riot Games’ officials haven’t made any confirmation on the matter yet.
The location first appeared in VALORANT’s Year One Anthem video which was released on June 21. The Reddit user, shast1k, found the hint on a tiny brochure that is barely seen and published it on the related page of Reddit. The approval came from Tyler Erzberger right after the Reddit post saying “This was first found on Reddit and then I got it confirmed by multiple sources.”

VALORANT’s first world championship will be held between November 29 and December 12. This won’t be Riot Games’ first event in Los Angeles since 2012, 2013 and 2016 League of Legends World Championships’ grand finals were held in the city. Also, the headquarters of the company has been located in Santa Monica for a long time.
VALORANT Champions Tour 2021 is only two steps away from its biggest event. Stage 3 of the occasion will start at the end of June with Open Qualifiers. Similar to Stage 2 Masters Reykjavik, the winner of Stage 3 Masters Berlin will earn a spot in the world championship directly. The rest of the participants of VALORANT Champions 2021 will be determined based on their standing points and Last Chance Qualifiers’ results.
Riot Games didn’t allow audience Participation in Masters Reykjavik due to Covid-19 restrictions, but they haven’t shared further details for Masters Berlin and the world championship yet. Viewers are already allowed in sports events and festivals in the United States, so it’s likely we will see a stadium full of fans at the end of the year tournament.
