Wrist injuries caused one of Valorant’s most promising players to take a break from the competitive scene.
Patiphan needs rest
Some rumors about Thailand’s young star and X10 Esports player Patiphan “Patiphan” Chaiwong taking a break from playing Valorant have been going around lately, and it became official after the player’s statement today.
“First of all I won’t be able to make Berlin run with the boys due to my wrist injury. I’ve been playing with it for seven months now and it’s time to actually take care of myself. I know I shouldn’t be playing these past months, but I just couldn’t stop overthinking so I decided to go as far as I could and I guess this is my limit now. The injury doesn’t affect my performance at all but it’s all about my confidence. Lastly I’m staying with the team and hopefully I’ll come back sooner.”Patiphan on taking a break from competitive play.

According to X10’s announcement on Facebook, Patiphan will work with specialized professionals closely to recover from his injury. X10 Esports’ Valorant coach Yuttanagorn “Zeus” Kaewkongyai will be replacing the player during his recovery.
Patiphan played an enormous role in X10 Esports’ triumphs at VCT 2021: Thailand Stage 2 Challengers 1 and Southeast Asia Stage 2 Challengers Finals. The ex-Overwatch player was among the ones to watch going into Masters Reykjavik. Despite bidding early farewell to the tournament, Patiphan shone against giants and proved his talent with his Jett plays in front of the global audience.
