Valorant Masters Reykjavík will be the game’s first international LAN tournament. Only ten teams made it to Iceland of the over 2000 who gave a shot to the qualifiers. Here’s everything you need to know about the Valorant Masters Reykjavík format, schedule and the participating teams.

The event’s schedule
Masters Reykjavík will take place over the course of seven days. The event has been planned taking in account all the necessary COVID-19 precautionary measures including a secure bubble throughout the event. The first five days will have three matches per day, with just three matches scattered over the last two days including the Grand Final, which will be held on Sunday, May 30th. Each of these days will begin at 8am PDT and continue until all the matches scheduled for the day conclude.
- Monday, May 24 (day 1): Three matches – Both Play-in Matches, one Upper Round 1 match
- Tuesday, May 25 (day 2): Three matches – Three Upper Round 2 matches
- Wednesday, May 26 (day 3): Three matches – Two Lower Round 2 matches, One Semifinals match
- Thursday, May 27 (day 4): Three matches – One Semifinals match, Two Lower Round 2 matches
- Friday, May 28, 2021 (day 5): Three matches – Two Lower Round 3 matches, Upper Final
- Saturday, May 29 (day 6): Two matches – Lower Semifinals, Lower Final
- Sunday, May 30 (day 7): One match – Grand Final

This Masters tournament boasts a prize pool of $600 000, the largest of any Valorant tournament to date. The winning team will take a third of it, $200 000 for themselves.
Where to watch Valorant Masters Reykjavík
It can be difficult to figure out when and where to watch the tournament, but fans can follow the action in a variety of languages and on a variety of platforms. The participating teams
As mentioned earlier, a total of only 10 teams qualified from regions with 2 teams from NA (link challenger na results from the piece), EMEA (link challenger EU results piece) and BR while one each from KR, JP, LATAM and SEA. Here are the names of teams that managed to secure a spot at the Masters:

Valorant Masters Reykjavík format
The Masters will be held in a double-elimination format, with all teams starting in the upper bracket. Four of them will have to play an extra match in order to fit ten teams into an eight-team bracket. The qualified squads from North America and Europe (the regions with the most players), received a spot in the second round while all other teams will start in the first round.

As per Riot Games’ statement, the remaining teams were randomly seeded with the requirement that teams from the same region could not be put on the same side of the bracket to avoid matching against each other in the initial rounds. Valorant Masters Reykjavík follow a similar format to previous tournaments with all matches having three rounds and the Grand Finals with 5 rounds.
Matchups and brackets
On one side of the upper bracket, Version1 will face Crazy Raccoons, while Fnatic will face KRÜ Esports. The winner of the first match will face Sentinels and the winner of the second match will face Team Liquid with losers being relegated to the first round of the lower bracket. Team Vikings will face X10 Esports in the upper bracket’s second round, while Sharks Esports will face NUTURN Gaming. From then on, the rest depends on the previous matchup results.
