VALORANT Champions Tour Stage 3’s details are becoming clearer as the start date approaches. Stage 3 Europe will be played on Patch 3.0 which is going to be deployed on June 22, according to Riot Games.
A new agent, KAY/O, will arrive with the launch of Patch 3.0, but it will be disabled throughout Stage 3 Challengers 1, including the Open Qualifier and the Main Event since there will not much time to prepare for a potential shift in the meta.
The decision has been receiving a lot of criticism from pro players and community members since the list of changes in the new update is as big as ever. It features agent changes, weapon changes, economic changes and there is only one week until the beginning of Challengers 1’s Open Qualifiers. Players complain about not having enough time for preparation and point out all the training and strategies they made before the patch make no sense after this decision.
VALORANT Champions Tour Stage 3: Europe will contain three steps as the previous stage. Starting on June 28, teams will begin with the Open Qualifier where they will be obligated to play at least five series to qualify for the Closed Qualifier which starts on June 30. Eight teams that qualified through Open Qualifier and eight invited teams will face each other in the Closed Qualifier to get through to the Main Event. The first four teams of the Main Event are going to qualify for the Challengers Playoffs, while the rest will advance to Challengers 2.
The signing up process for Challengers 1’s Open Qualifier is still ongoing and will last until June 27. If you want to join the competition, you can reach the related page from here.
