In the latest North American Valorant roster-mania update, TSM FTX have decided to bench one of their most recent roster additions, Sean “bang” Bezerra.
TSM FTX bang bites the bullet
Recent TSM FTX addition Sean “bang” Bezerra revealed earlier today that his Valorant organization has officially been moved to inactive status. In his Tweet, bang said, “TSM FTX wants to explore potential options and benched me for the time being.”
bang joined TSM FTX in June as a replacement for Braxton “Brax” Pierce, who decided to return to T1 right before VCT Stage 3 Challengers 1 kicked off. He has played a total of fourteen maps for TSM FTX and was largely seen as the central controller for the team. Astra was his most picked agent, occasionally taking Sage or even a secondary duelist role.
The TSM FTX we know
After finally finding their form late in the Valorant Champions Tour, TSM FTX performed poorly at the NA VCT Challengers Playoffs. Team Envy dropped them to the loser’s bracket despite an amazing comeback in their second map, Breeze. Ultimately, it was an in-form Rise that sent bang and the rest of the team home.
bang ended his Tweet by saying, “I have nothing but love and appreciation for everyone on the team and the org treated me like family, they have allowed me to explore my options and I am willing to play/learn anything.”
How both parties could move forward
Given how bang ended his Tweet, it’s not unlikely that bang will be looking to fill an empty seat in a different organization as soon as possible. Bezerra previously played for teams like On The Way and Team Serenity.
TSM FTX, on the other hand, have a relatively deep bench after signing the ex-Noble squad to its academy roster. Moreover, the organization’s season rest in the hands of the current NA representatives for Masters Berlin. If an NA team wins the tournament, then TSM FTX qualify for the NA Last Chance Qualifiers which is the team’s last opportunity to make it to Valorant Champions.
It certainly looks like TSM FTX Valorant is still trying to figure out how it can return to its former glory. Only time will tell if these continuing roster changes will eventually lead to success for the organization in the long run.
