Tribe: Primitive Builder is coming to PC. It’s a mix of genres set on a paradise island
On 12th of October 2023 we’ll see a PC release of Tribe: Primitive Builder. This Unreal Engine 5.1 open world game sets out to combine elements of builders, city management, exploration and survival.
There are a lot of challenges waiting in Tribe: Primitive Builder’s world of primal mysticism. The developers plan to also release the game on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms in the nearby future.
Tribe Primitive Builder Premise
Tribe: Primitive Builder was made through the teamwork of three Polish developers: Space Boat Studios, Polyslash S.A. and Baked Games S.A. The PC version is published by PlayWay S.A.

Tribe: Primitive Builder is an open world title that focuses on a single player experience, as the game is a mixture of several genres – while mainly a first person builder, the game focuses on managing and expanding a village. You’ll also find that there’s plenty of mechanics around exploration, survival, hunting and crafting.
The gamers will get to play as the titular builder, who was sentenced to the Isle of the Banished, a place where different tribes live in the shadow of an ever burning volcano. But as the developers suggest, the story mode will be based on intriguing visions which emphasize the world of primal mysticism.
“In Tribe: Primitive Builder we offer a portal into an unknown world. The island has a paradise feeling to it, but it is filled with exciting secrets. The main gameplay loop centers on building and management of villages, which thanks to player’s creativity can become full micro-scale civilizations. If you plan out and divide the work between your tribesmen, your village has a chance to become a self-sustainable little city. Also, as you progress through the story, you might even get a chance to create trade routes between different tribes. We wanted to give the players a lot of freedom and autonomy. So you’ll also be able to focus on gathering resources, hunting and discovering the secrets of this wild island” – said the CEO of Polyslash S.A., Mateusz Cholewa.
The Isle of the Banished
Also, the Isle of the Banished has 4 distinct biomes. Each of these regions is a home of a different tribe. However, the player will get an arsenal of tools to play around with (a knife, an axe, a spear and a pickaxe to name a few). While expanding the villages, there are 17 different types of buildings and 8 unique structures available in the story’s main missions. Also, the progression is based on performing special rituals, which add up to a total of 28.

“Tribe: Primitive Builder is a unique blend of genres, which we’ve set in a fascinating world. The proper use of Unreal Engine 5.1’s abilities has allowed us to present the best possible version of the Isle of the Banished. Also as well as the diversity of its wilderness. But, the exciting feeling of a new world just waiting to be discovered is amplified by an original soundtrack, which is inspired by ancient cultures and naturally becomes a part of the events happening in the game” – adds Mateusz Cholewa.
Also the developers estimate that the main story will take at least 30-35 hours to beat on average. But, though exploring all the secrets of the island. And fully developing each tribe will most likely take over 100 hours.
Tribe Primitive Builder – main features:
- an open world set in a primal wilderness;
- building and management;
- 4 different tribes;
- survival and crafting;
- possibly over 100 hours of playtime;

The PC release date (Steam) is slated for the 12th of October 2023. There are plans to bring the game to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Although the exact release dates for these are not yet announced
Tribe: Primitive Builder – Steam Release Trailer:

. ## Defend Shady Hill From a Zombie Invasion *Dead Party* takes place in Shady Hill, a seemingly peaceful town where a Halloween night takes a disastrous turn after UFOs appear overhead. The strange event triggers a zombie outbreak, leaving four unlikely heroes to defend the neighborhood against the undead invasion. The game focuses on cooperative survival rather than simply eliminating enemies. Players must search their surroundings for resources, break objects to gather materials, construct barricades, and set traps to slow incoming waves. Different zombie types and map layouts will require teams to adapt their defenses as the invasion progresses. Players must coordinate their actions and make effective use of the resources available if they hope to survive. Music also plays a central role in combat. Characters can use guitars and music-based abilities to push back the undead, giving the game a rock-and-roll twist on the familiar zombie survival formula. ## Four Game Modes Offer Different Survival Challenges *Dead Party* features four distinct game modes, each presenting a different approach to defending against the zombie invasion. - **Stage Equipment:** Use stage equipment and music-powered abilities to hold back the undead. - **Antenna:** Activate generators and unleash radio waves to disrupt the invading forces. - **Skull Cannon:** Collect zombie skulls and use them to destroy UFOs. - **Horde:** Forget about escaping and see how long your team can survive against increasingly dangerous zombie waves. Players can also experience the game's Story Mode, which follows four unique characters. Each hero has individual abilities, strengths, weaknesses, equipment, and a personal storyline, giving players different approaches to the game's challenges. ## Online and Local Co-Op Support Designed around four-player cooperation, *Dead Party* supports both online and local co-op. Friends can coordinate defensive strategies, collect resources, and build barricades together as they attempt to withstand the invasion. The combination of environmental interactions, traps, different enemy types, and music-based combat is intended to keep each encounter unpredictable. Teams will need to balance preparation with quick decisions when their defenses begin to fail. With its Halloween-themed setting and cooperative gameplay, *Dead Party* is aiming to offer a different take on zombie survival when it arrives later this month. The game launches on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store on October 29, 2026, with console releases expected in the weeks following its debut.
