With Overwatch’s most recent Winter Wonderland Event coming to a close, players are excited to have gotten all the cool skins they wanted during the holiday season. After tireless hours grinding matches, all the hard work paid off after being able to open even one holiday skin. With all of the great options out there that players could have gotten, there are certainly some that shine above the rest. Here, we will go over some of the community’s favorite skins from this last event. So, here are the top 3 Overwatch skins from the 2021-2022 Winter Wonderland Event.
Reindeer Orisa:
Around the winter holiday season, families love nothing more than to gather together and watch classic holiday movies. The feeling of goodwill and unity gives them that cozy feeling deep inside, and anything that can harken to these fond memories always brings back that feeling. Because of that, Reindeer Orisa is one of the top skins to come out of this event. With the obvious relation to many’s favorite holiday movie, this skin gave those who played with or against it that same warm feeling.
As for the details of the skin itself, it features Orisa re-skinned as a red-nosed reindeer, even equipped with presents and gold trim to make her suitable to guide Santa’s sleigh. This skin is put at the Legendary rarity, making it a bit harder to open from loot boxes. However, it is still a skin that is beloved by the community and certainly gave many Orisa mains a happy holiday.
Peppermint Bark Brigitte:
After opening presents, those who partake in the season’s holidays love nothing more than to crack open their newly acquired candy stash and chomp away. For some, a warm pie is just the thing to hit the spot, but for those with a more particular holiday taste, peppermint bark is the go-to classic. Because of that, Peppermint Bark Brigitte will give players that same holiday feeling year-round. Even her weapon is made of peppermint candy, making it perfect for those with a sweet tooth.
When looking at the in-game aspects of the skin, it depicts Brigitte decked out in candy armor, all made of chocolate and peppermint bark. She even has bright pink hair and the formerly mentioned peppermint mace. This particular skin was not available in loot boxes but was instead offered for completing a series of weekly achievements. Since it was so available to the player base, it was one of the more common skin to get, but that didn’t make it any less special!
Snowman Wrecking Ball:
Last on this list, but certainly not the least favorite by any means, is Snowman Wrecking Ball. Upon the release of the hero, players were excited to see the mech’s pilot, Hammond, was an adorable little hamster. This skin only adds to the hero’s cute factor. By suiting Hammond up in a Santa suit with a big white beard, it gives him an extra reason to be so beloved. But the fun doesn’t end there, Hammond’s mech is decked out to look just like a snowman, with the carrot nose included!
The fondest memory people have of the winter holiday is playing in the snow and making all sorts of fun designs, including building their very own snowman. Because of that, anyone who sees this skin in their next game will have their heart melted from not only the cute factor of this skin but also with the warm memories of the holidays of their youth.
As for the skin itself, it is placed at the Legendary rarity, just like the previously mentioned Orisa skin. Due to that, players really had to work hard to crack loot boxes to get this one. Be it through earning enough coins or winning through the luck of the draw, those who were able to get this skin certainly had one of the best holiday presents you could imagine!
