Even before his rebrand, Cassidy was a popular hero for many players. For some, his cowboy/gunslinger style captivated players and made them want to get better at him so they could be good at a cool hero.
For others, his sheer damage and all-in potential gave players a chance to make the most of their skills in the game and overpower their opponents. Regardless of the reason for playing him, those who do indeed have opinions on what his best skins are. To help put the debate to rest, here are the top 3 Cassidy skins in Overwatch 2.
Scrooge
When Overwatch releases its holiday skins, there is usually one of the bunch that players gravitate toward more than others. For the 2016 Winter Wonderland event, that skin was Cassidy’s Scrooge skin.
Sure, there were some other flashy skins in that event, but the design of this one was something that the community couldn’t get enough of. His tophat contributed to why the skin was so popular, and his new gold arm was undoubtedly a cool feature. To finish, his outfit was dusted with a layer of snow, giving players a real BAMF holiday feel all year round.
The skin is only set at Epic rarity, so players can easily open it in loot boxes or spend 250 credits to purchase the skin in the shop. However, the only catch is that it is exclusive to the Winter Wonderland event, so players must wait for the winter holidays to roll around before picking this skin up.
Blackwatch
When the cool appearance of a skin doesn’t do the job for some players, they look for a skin with rich lore that players can dive into. Needless to say, Cassidy’s Blackwatch skin checks all the boxes. It has a sleek black appearance that is perfect for undercover missions and has cool new equipment, like a laser sight on his pistol. He even has some new facial hair since this is Cassidy at a younger age in this skin. However, he still gets to keep his classic cigar, so there is at least one constant.
This skin, in particular, is set at Legendary rarity, meaning it is much harder to open in loot boxes than the Scrooge skin. Or, players can pick it up in the shop for 1,000 credits, which may seem steep, but for this skin is entirely worth it.
One thing to remember is that Blackwatch is tied to the Overwatch Archives event, so players must wait for the event to come around again to pick up this skin.
Gambler
Plenty of Overwatch 2 players love to collect cool skins for their favorite heroes, and no Cassidy skin collection would be complete without his Gambler skin.
This gives players a peek into a reality where a wild west Cassidy was scamming card games to make an extra buck. The skin even has a secret card slot to keep an extra trick up his sleeve when he needs that bit of “luck.”
The skin even gives Cassidy some cool new duds like a cool yellow vest, an expensive coat, and an engraved pistol to show his class. He even has a cool mustache to give him that old-timey flair.
For players looking to pick up this skin, it should be known that it is set at Legendary rarity, so it will take a lot of loot boxes, or 1,000 credits, to pick up this skin. However, this skin is not tied to an event, so players are free to purchase it year-round. So there is no excuse not to pick up this skin as soon as possible for players to take into their next game.
