With TI10 happening in less than a month from now, we take a look at the teams competing for Dota 2’s biggest event of the year. In this piece, we take a closer look at Team Undying, the North American underdogs looking for a shot at glory in TI10.
Team Undying at TI10 – can MoonMeander and co. prove themselves against the odds?
Roster:
- Enzo “Timado” Gianoli (position 1)
- Jonathan “Bryle” de Guia (mid-laner)
- Jonáš “SabeRLight-” Volek (off-laner)
- David “MoonMeander” Boon Yang Tan (soft support)
- Kim “DuBu” Doo-young (hard support)
With the way the Dota 2 esports scene works right now, it is harder for smaller, non-sponsored organizations to make their mark. That said, it makes their journey much more interesting to follow, and nothing could be further from the truth than Team Undying. Team Undying is North America’s Qualifier winner, taking the third spot for the region alongside Evil Geniuses and Quincy Crew. The roster is composed of both veterans and relative newcomers, with NA mainstay MoonMeander headlining the team that looks to carve their way in Dota 2’s biggest event.
With the team’s inception only coming in earlier this year, Team Undying have not had many chances to prove themselves in any major events. OGA Dota Pit Invitational is the only one the roster joined before TI, in which the team achieved a 7th to 8th place finish behind Team Spirit.
Predictions:
There are very few, if any, that are banking on Team Undying to make it far into TI10. That said, look for the North American roster to put up a big fight, especially from Bryle and Timado, two of the players to watch in the roster. Here’s hoping this team sticks together after TI10 whatever results they may reach.
The International 10 will run from October 7 to 17. Stay tuned for our coverage of Dota 2’s biggest event of the year.
