Australian esports organization, The Chiefs Esports Club, has partnered with McDonald’s Australia, or Macca’s, as it’s otherwise known in the region.
The Chiefs Esports Club was founded in August 2014 by the top League of Legends team members in Australia. Since its inception, The Chiefs have established competitive teams in several titles such as League of Legends and VALORANT. Maccas is another addition to the esports organization’s portfolio, which contains the likes of OPTUS, MARVEL, and HyperX.
Through this partnership, both parties will collaborate to launch a series of educational live streams featuring League of Legends streamer Drew ‘Midbeast’ Timbs and LCO interviewer Athena ‘kitty’ Jiang.
“We worked with Macca’s earlier in the year on their first stream week, so we are super excited to be back working with such a legendary partner again.”
Nick Bobir, CEO of The Chiefs
“Plus, having the opportunity to bring incredible talent like Kitty and Midbeast together and have them streaming live from the house is an awesome opportunity. I’m excited to see how they stack up against our League of Legends roster,” commented Nick Bobir, CEO of The Chiefs.
Other talents joining the show include the Chiefs’ Aiden ‘Ayekay’ Hiko and former professional rugby league footballer Alex Glenn. In addition, the four-hour stream will consist of a live tour of the Chiefs Country Club.
Fans tuning in to the stream can win a range of prices, including exclusive Maccas x Chiefs gear, which will be revealed on August 21st, the day the show premieres.
The partnership between McDonald’s and The Chiefs Esports Club will help provide tremendous opportunities for growth for both parties and allow esports and gaming fans to connect further with one of Australia’s premier esports teams.
