Blinds are so annoying in VALORANT, and almost every agent nowadays has one! Gone are the days when blinds used to be rare, now you have them on a variety of Duelists, Initiators and Controllers!
We have the top five best blinding abilities in VALORANT here for you, so you know exactly what agents to abuse and which blinds to avoid peeking into just after popping your Jett ultimate!
The best blinds in VALORANT
Flashpoint – Breach
This ability is really overpowered, due to the mechanic of being able to do it through a wall! It also has a rapid explosion time, so by the time enemies know it is coming, then it is too late to dodge it!
We recommend using it to flash tight corners and sites, such as A Short and A Lamps on Bind!
The reason it is only fifth on this list is that it requires your teammates to peek with it, unlike the other blinds on this list, Breach struggles to peek it himself!
Curveball – Phoenix
The fact that Phoenix has two of these is ridiculous, considering they are some of the best and safest blinds in the game!
Phoenix can easily blind close around a corner, and swing it himself, causing enemies caught to have no chance to react. Speaking of reacting, it is impossible! The blind explodes so quickly, that if you see it, you’re blinded!
This works perfectly in the kit of a Duelist, meaning he can entry and check multiple chokepoints and angles with both of his Curveballs!
Paranoia – Omen
This blind works differently from the other blinds on this list, as the projectile that Omen throws out is actually a shadow ball (yes, like a Gengar).
Paranoia can hit multiple targets and can go through multiple walls. This means if you know an enemy is there, you can safely hit them with your Paranoia and swing!
We were unsure whether to count this as it is technically a Nearsight, rather than a blind, but we decided it was too good not to give the bronze medal!
Guiding Light – Skye
Getting second place is the Australian outbacker and her flying hawk! Guiding Light is able to be controlled by the Skye player and precisely flown to wherever needs to be blinded.
It also gives an audio cue when she successfully blinds an enemy, and the distance you can get with it, is why it is so high up this list. It is also her signature ability, meaning 40 seconds after using the first one, she will have another ready to go!
Leer – Reyna
Coming in at number one is Reyna’s Leer! This blind is the best in the game, due to the fact that it is the only blind not to blind your allies! She can throw it through walls and surfaces, allowing her to swing and peek enemies who are nearsighted!
She also has two of these, so she can quickly check multiple angles as she pushes onto the site and makes space for her team to move in after her.
Our pro-Reyna tip is to throw your Leer up into the air or down into the floor. This means that when you swing enemies, they will have their crosshair pointing away from you, so you can safely grab a kill and get out!
