It came true! Tekken Shop adds legacy outfits for 3.99 (USD) a piece!
The latest Tekken Talk revealed the next plans for the upcoming Tekken Shop.
But what else is on the horizon for the Iron Fist Tournament?
Tekken Shop Adds Legacy Outfit Microtransactions
It’s happening; Tekken 8 is getting microtransactions!
The latest Tekken Talk revealed Bandais plans for the upcoming in-game store.
From the talk, it was revealed that the shop would be updated once or twice a month. Every update will add more classic costumes, avatar costumes, etc.
So far, they have revealed four pieces of Jin’s iconic T4 hoodie. Also, T6 Kazuya, Tag 2 Jun, and T5 Xiaoyu.

The Tekken shop itself will use its own form of paid currency. So far, the costumes are priced at 400 coins each (TK coins). 400 TK coins add up to about 3.99 dollars, so that’s around 4 bucks for a costume.

It’s not breaking the bank but can add up individually. However, these are only cosmetics and not full-blown fighters.
Many gamers online have taken to Twitter to voice some slight concern over the inclusion of microtransactions in the game. While others have stated that 4 dollars a piece is fairly reasonable,.

Players also have the option of just buying their favorite costumes rather than buying a full bundle.

So far, the choices are a bit limited, but they assure us more costumes will be on the way.
Whether you agree or disagree with the statement, we here are going to be grabbing that T4 Jin, no doubt!
Hopefully, actually purchasing these TK coins will be a simpler process than the slightly predatory means by which Capcom offers them via their own in-game SF6 store.
By that, we mean having to buy seemingly larger than needed amounts that leave players with just not enough for another purchase.
DLC Menu Update
Photo mode will also be added to the next update, along with an easier quit game button added to the menu.
One exciting change, however, is the mention of DLC fighters and how they will be implemented.
Firstly, DLC fighters will get their own story mode included. But this is available for all players, whether you own the fighter or not! We only have to buy their fighters to play them in other game modes.
Secondly, the DLC fighter will replace the main menu model, meaning no more wonderful Kazuya abs staring at us! There were some hints of adding an option to change the menu model. However, we will have to wait for the next TK talk live again in late March.

A screenshot reveals the latest implementation, with the upcoming fighter Eddy taking up the main menu screen. We are looking forward to his addition coming soon and his new story mode.
Although some fans have stated that they are not big into his latest haircut, we share some of those thoughts too. But his legacy outfit should be available to change into upon release.
How do you feel about the inclusion of Microtransactions to Tekken 8?
