Start practising wind god fists because the Tekken 8 Release Date Leaked on X!
Although Bandai has not yet stated the date, dedicated Twitter followers have caught some spicey details for the next king of the iron fist torunament.
Here is how and what the leaks tell us…
Tekken 8 Release Date Leaked thorugh Microsoft Store Page
Today, Twitter user Aggiornamenti Lumia posted this tweet below:
Upon further questioning, he revealed it was because of an update to the Microsoft Store page.
Funny enough, the current status of the page listing was quickly taken down just a few hours after the post.
This suggests perhaps Microsoft made a slight mistake on their part.
However, Tekken fans were quick to jump onto the listing.
Also, the release date aligns well with predicted release windows of early 2024 and late 2023.
If Harada san takes mercy upon us then we can expect Tekken 8 to release within the next 4 months!
However, Harada may take it out on us fans and hold back the release date for more fixes or out of spite!
Why Early January
But for some fans this release window seems a bit too far ahead considering how far developed the network tests were.
Although many are simply eager to jump into the next Tekken installment, some question whether or not this window was picked purposefully to avoid direct competition with Street Fighter 6 and Mortal Kombat, as they both have already been released and will soon be this year.
This may play a small part, but in all honesty, it is not very likely. Although there is a fair amount of crossover between Street Fighter and Tekken fans, both do not forgo buying one franchise in favour of another each year.
And most Mortal Kombat players do not cross over to Tekken as much, meaning there wouldn’t be much competition between the two if they released closer together.
The more likely answer is simply that Harada is a perfectionist. Tekken is his baby, and he would rather put it through delay after delay than release a Tekken 6 esc game again! And most Mortal Kombat players do not cross over to Tekken as much, meaning there wouldn’t be much competition between the two if they released closer together.
We still have 6 more characters to add to the roster!
原田 勝弘 / Katsuhiro Harada私にくそ を頼まないで / Do not ask me for ****!
Who will make it on the main launch roster this coming January? We sincerely hope it is Steve, as we all know he is the best character, and Harada agrees with us. Trust us, just please don’t ask him on Twitter for him, or we won’t see him again!
Tekken 8 is coming much sooner than expected. We at Gamelevate shall start practising our electrics.
