Earlier today, Evo 2023 has just shown off a Tekken 8 Raven Reveal Trailer!
The original fan favourite, secret ninja agent Raven, will be making a surprise attack return in the latest Bandai title.
Along with an original newcomer, here are the details…
EVO 2023 Tekken 8 Raven Reveal Showcase
Although hidden in the shadows since Tekken 6, the original Raven fighter from Tekken 5 will be making a return as a playable character.

Raven was introduced in Tekken 5 as one of the three new characters. His fighting style was very unique, relying on ninja-styled techniques, making him one of the more agile and complex characters in the fifth entry.
In the story, people have little knowledge about Raven, making him a mysterious figure. Like all secret agents of the United Nations, his country of origin, real name, and age are all undisclosed. He is distant and business-like in all his associations.
But he was missing in Tekken 7, replaced by his superior master Raven, who held a similar fighting style to him. However, she was much more flashy than the original Raven and was jumping around the screen much more than the original Raven.
Baldur’s Gate 3: What are the 5 best classes?
This time, though, it looks like Raven is taking a page out of Naruto’s book as he now relies on Shadow Clones. His moveset shown off in the Tekken 8 Raven Reveal trailer shows a heavy realiance on afterimages.
His Ninjutsu has reached an insane level of skill, making it clear he has spent the downtime since Tekken 6 practising his Naruto run.
Coffe Queen Azucena
Also, we got a look at the first Tekken 8 original character Azucena.

Marking the first fighter originating from Peru, Azucena appears to be a very dodge-focused character, with her reveal showing off a tonne of sidestep mechanics and Steve’s dodge counters.
The self-proclaimed queen of coffee appears to be fighting in the 8th Iron Fist Tournament as a way of advertising her own coffee brand. Despite the offbrand marketing We respect the dedication and the grind in all honesty.

Her counters look to give Leroy a run for his money seeing how fluid they are mid string. Given how strong sidestepping is in the beta of Tekken 8 we might see Azucena hit the high tiers on launch if her moveset focuses on this aspect.
We cannot wait to get our hands on both characters and see how much Raven takes part in the Tekken 8 main story.
