More potential leaks drop before release as a potential Tekken 8 Josie leak appears on Youtube.
The titular character supposedly had her trailer accidentally uploaded to the Bandai account.
But let’s take a closer look at what Ooopsie Harada has made.
Tekken 8 Josie Leaked On Youtube
As we approach the release of Tekken 8 on January 26th, more DLC information has dropped. But not as intentional as Bandai had hoped.
Today, avid Tekken fan @VolSkimmer posted a screencap on Twitter revealing a potential leak.
This screencap is from the official Bandai Entertainment America account. This account is responsible for releasing official videos such as character reveals, gameplay trailers, and showcases. However, within the playlist of videos, there is a particular one titled Among the Flock.Supposedly, it was immediately taken down, but someone took a screenshot before it was done.

A video titled Tekken 8: DLC Josie Rizal Reveal and Gameplay Trailer can be seen posted just 2 minutes ago above the Kuma reveal video. If true, this confirms that Josie from Tekken 7 will be the first of the Tekken DLC characters to hit the roster.
This has come as a pleasing surprise to most fans, as many enjoy her unique style and gameplay from Tekken 7. Often referred to as a carry character, as she would help many players climb the ranks online with her constant knowledge checks.
Also, her counter-hit tools and setups were particularly nasty online. Her origin being from the Philippines and her outgoing personality also made her stand out.
But it might not be all true, as Tekken Producer posted on Twittter for fans not to get worked up as the screens are fake. However, this could be a ploy from Murry to spread doubt amongst players. This may anger Harada, making him hold back on her release.

Until the game starts dishing out DLC, we will never know, though.
Josie Rizal
Josie Rizal’s debut was in Tekken 7 launch.
She is a young fighter who strives to overcome her lack of confidence and hopes to join the Tekken Force. This is an organization that helped her country in a time of need.

Fundamentally, Josie plays very similarly to Bruce, sharing some of his assets, such as his Cyclone Kick (3+4), Ducking Low Kick (f,N,d,df+3), Shotshell (3,2~F), Pasart Stance, and Dteh Kao Pa Jong (uf+3+4) (respectively the Spinning Scythe, Slide-in Low Kick, Hollow Point to Slide In, Switch Stance, and Rapid Double Knee in her Move List), but with some new assets as well, namely her Intercept Kick (3,3), Intercept Cannon (3,f+3), and Lexias Chain (db+4,2,3). She also resolves Bruce’s weakness of not having a ground-hitting middle attack by having a full blast kick (d+3+4), effectively making her better than Bruce when it comes to ground game.
For veteran Bruce users, Josie is the character that best emulates him in his absence in Tekken 7 because of these similarities.
Being a fan favorite, she is not a bad guess for a potential DLC fighter. Although not the first, somewhere down the line, we may see her again.
See you online on January 26th!
