Although its release date is around the corner, there have been more Tekken 8 DLC leaks.
Similar to the last screencaps caught for the main roster, the same has happened for DLC fighters.
But let’s take a look at what they are and how likely it is.
Potential Season 1 Tekken 8 DLC Leaks
Posted online via Reddit and spreading across the internet is the potential leak showing season 1 DLC fighters. This, much like the previous Tekken 8 leak, shows off a fighter select menu screen.
However, this time we have a staggering seven new characters shown at the top. Some of them appear to be new, but we can make out Fakurahm, Julia, Armour King, Alex, and Roger!
That is correct; we can see Roger on this select menu. Since then, players have become immediately skeptical, pointing out how funny it is.
We love Roger, don’t get us wrong, but… really? Because if so, we are very excited, and even Alex is there! Both of these test animals from Tekken 2 are so outlandish and give the series its charm. Moreso, Roger the kangaroo over Alex the dinasour.
Actually, story-wise, it makes sense. Kazuya is back in charge because some people have still not played Tekken 7. Kazuya was turned evil in Tekken 2 and thought it would be a great idea to create bio-superweapons. That being a boxing kangaroo and lizard. How Dr. Boskonovitch got that through the inital trials, we don’t know! But it makes sense that he would start making them again to dab on Jin, we suppose.
Some gamers think including them back is too goofy, and to that end, we say Kuma and Panda are both in the game. Tekken is a series where a 16-year-old girl fights a 6-foot grizzly bear, and no one bats an eyelid. They are not out of place; they fit the scene like they always have.
The Iron Fist tournament has a history of enlisting run-offs from the local zoo on occasion. But the three guys who play Fahkuram can rest easy if this screencap is true!
German Deluxe Listing Leak
Also to go with the screen cap is another potential leak! At this point, Harada needs to reevaluate his sequential team’s methods.
This leak is a screencap of an online listing for the Deluxe version of the game. However, this differs from the roster screen cap detailing Xiao, Meng, Armour King, and Eddy.
But also listed are some kangaroo armor packs! Now, why would a normal person need kangaroo armor? Players speculate this is in fact hinting at Roger coming at a later release.
Either way, true or not, it’s a lot of fun to see Roger trending as he should. The last screen cap leak turned out to be really true, but this and the other could be forged. Or maybe it’s all true! Only Harada and the Tekken team know, and both refuse to return my calls, so we will have to wait and see.
