The team was granted a group-stage spot, skipping the play-ins as they won the Spanish league. Heretics won four games and lost two in the group stage. Interestingly, both of their losses were against Team BDS Academy.
Heretics took down Unicorns of Love Sexy Edition and Team LDLC before facing BDS once again in the grand final. This time, they were the superior side. After a very close 5-game series, Team Heretics won the EU Masters 2022 Summer trophy.
Team Heretics will compete in LEC next season as they bought Misfits Gaming’s slot. Before that, they completed their mission in ERL by winning the EU Masters 2022 Summer trophy. We will see if they will change their roster for the upcoming season.
