Netherlands-based independent FIFA academy Team Gullit will be educating the esports community about eye health together with SEIKO Vision.

Despite being mainly known as a watchmaker, SEIKO also bring their drive for precision to the field of lenses, using their technology and innovation to make people see and feel better. Their collaboration with Team Gullit is unique as SEIKO Vision were the first to take a step to enter the esports industry – a field where good and comfortable vision is of utmost importance when it comes to producing competitive results.
The partnership between Team Gullit and SEIKO Vision will focus on establishing a name in the esports ecosystem and informing the community about eye health. SEIKO Vision will be able to reach a brand new audience through Team Gullit’s Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter channels, which have shown explosive growth and expanded their reach exponentially. Team Gullit have announced on their Twitter that they will be sharing a series of videos on YouTube, explaining the do’s and don’ts of gaming and healthy eyesight.
Focusing attention on healthy eyesight
Speaking about the collaboration, Team Gullit founder Corné Dubelaar shared his happiness with the newly funded cooperation, stating that as Team Gullit, they started to focus on education over the past year, with their YouTube channel emphasizing sharing information. He added that through their social media, they aim to share information not only in terms of in-game tips and tricks, but also in terms of all the other elements that are associated with becoming a professional esports athlete.
The collaboration with SEIKO Vision will give them the opportunity to educate the esports community on the do’s and don’ts of gaming and eye-health. Dubelaar shared that he felt eye health had been overlooked in the esports industry for far too long, and it felt good that they were taking steps in the right direction now through their collaboration with SEIKO Vision.
