Capcom revealed that the Street Fighter 6 TMNT DLC will cost $100 to unlock everything!
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Street Fighter are set to clash via this new crossover.
But fans are shocked to see the DLC price reach triple digits…
Street Fighter 6 TMNT DLC Crossover
On Monday, Capcom revealed that they are planning a crossover with TMNT for Street Fighter 6.
This exciting collaboration will bring forth a range of fresh costumes, accessories, emotes, stamps, and other enticing additions.
But the main attraction is the new costumes available for your custom fighter. Players are now able to dawn the outfits and look like their favourite turtles: Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael.
Also, these clothes will affect the stats of your fighter, giving them a little edge when fighting in the main story mode or online via the Battle Hub.
Although the costumes are nice, some fans are disappointed to see that none of the TMNT crew is playable. But given Street Fighter’s history, they usually reserve playable fighter spots for characters from other established fighter franchises like KOF.
SFV had Akira Kazama as a DLC fighter from the Rival Schools franchise. Honestly we were suprised and pleased to see such a character show up and to see Rival Schools get some love from Capcom.
TMNT DLC Costs $100 for Everything
However, fans were not made aware of how much these cosmetics would cost when they were first announced.
But now we know it will cost around $100 to purchase all the pieces!
Gamers have the option to acquire complete Turtle outfits for their in-game characters, with each outfit priced at 750 Fighter Coins, the game’s premium currency.
Alternatively, if they’re interested solely in the colored Turtle masks for their avatars, those can be obtained for 250 Fighter Coins each.
Additionally, the game offers sticker sets (100 Fighter Coins), taunts (250FC), in-game camera frames (100FC), and in-game device wallpapers (100FC), amounting to a combined total of 1300 Fighter Coins.
So in total, everything would cost 5300 FC. The cheapest method of buying all the TMNT content would be to buy two bundles of 2750 Fighter Coins. This would cost exactly $99.98, which is more than the game’s retail price!
This crossover with Street Fighter 6 is to promote the upcoming movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. The movie was released earlier this August and is still being shown in cinemas.
