Capcom is coming in hot with a new Street Fighter 6 Ed reveal trailer!
Someone picked up the phone because we called earlier.
But let’s take a look at the reveal trailer and what’s in store.
Street Fighter 6 Ed Reveal Trailer
The trailer shows that he is set to release this February, which has delighted fans. Some were expecting an earlier release of Akuma, but this is what was first announced with the SF6 DLC.
Also, the trailer makes sure to clarify that he will be available in all modes. Meaning he will be playable in Fighters Lounge and meetable on the world tour.
We open in on the subway train level and are shown Ed fighting off Shadowloo remnants. He makes quick work of them with his boxing skills and psychic abilities.
But Ed seems to be going through a tough time right now, as he looks rather sickly. The poor guy is definitely more skinnier and pale than before. Under his eyes are heavy bags, indicating a lack of sleep.
Players suspect this is because of him being on the run from Shadowloo. However, some believe we are having a Bryan Tekken 4 moment and dealing with a sick Ed. As Ed is an age-accelerated clone, much like Snake from Metal Gear, we could be seeing heavy deterrence.
Although this can also be due to him not being noticed by Shadowloo scientists, he could be dying or ill from a lack of clone upkeep or something. Whatever the case, his personality still shines through with his quips and cheeky smiles.
But we are excited to see how his story line plays out upon release. Hopefully this is not going to be Tommorows Ed and leave us with just white ash for this game.
Bandage Boy Ed
originally known as the Bandaged Bo, is a video game character from the Street Fighter series, first appearing in Street Fighter IV as a non-playable character before making his playable debut in the second season of Street Fighter V.
He is the psychopower-wielding protégé of Balrog, captured by Shadaloo to serve as a potential substitute body for M. Bison.
Also being involved with Neo Shadaloo opens up Ed to a wider role in the SF6 story. Although the group is supposedly opposed to the original their actions throughout the game suggest otherwise. Perhaps this Ed is on the run from them even wanting to distance himself completley from the past.
But we will not know until later this February. In the meantime we suggest people get labbing with SFV to check out his moveset. That is all five guys that still have SFV installed of course!
Hopefully as well we will see Falke make a return either in cutscene or as a playable character. Ed and her are one of the same in terms of story so it would make sense to have her appear somewhat.
