The VCT off-season continues with a brand-new edition of the Spotlight Series Americas, hitting the live stage in Monterrey, Mexico this December. After a packed competitive year, Riot Games is spotlighting emerging and crossover talent with a fresh tournament format designed to showcase mixed-gender teams and rising stars.
This year’s event brings four teams together to battle for a $25,000 USD prize pool and the honor of being crowned the first Spotlight Series Americas champions of 2025.
Event Format & Schedule
The tournament runs December 12–14 and begins with a single round-robin group stage. Each team plays three best-of-one matches that determine seeding for the playoff bracket.
From there:
- Semifinals: Best-of-three series
- Grand Final: Best-of-five showdown on December 14
Only one team will come out on top when the dust settles.
All match days begin at 12:00 PM PT, offering action throughout the weekend.
What Makes This Event Special
Spotlight Series Americas celebrates VALORANT’s growing competitive scene by bringing together mixed-gender rosters that blend both Game Changers and VCT talent. This structure gives fresh faces and established competitors a chance to shine on a major stage, out of the regular VCT season spotlight.
The event aims to highlight diversity and storytelling within the game. Fans can expect an exciting mix of sharpshooting plays, coordinated team strategies, and a showcase of the next wave of Valorant stars.
