Josiah “Slacked” Berry will be the content creator of Kansas City (KC) Pioneers but will still be looking for Call of Duty League offers for the upcoming season.
Slacked began his professional career in Call of Duty ten years ago under the Notorious roof and worked his way to the top. During his career, he had ups and downs but still managed to compete in the highest level of competition with different teams.
With the announcement of the newly-formed Call of Duty League, he agreed on a year deal with the Seattle Surge and pursued his career there with talented people around him. Damon “Karma” Barlow, Ian “Enable” Wyatt, Sam “Octane” Larew, and Bryan “Apathy” Zhelyazkov looked like a solid roster on paper with the addition of Josiah Berry. However, the Seattle Surge failed to qualify for the playoffs.
After an unsuccessful season with the Seattle representatives, Slacked joined forces with Joseph “Owakening” Conley, Colt, “Havok” McLendon, and Cesar “Skyz” Bueno under the Florida Mutineers roof. The roster looked promising as almost all of the players wanted to prove themselves in the big scene but it was not the case. Slacked got benched after the second Major and pursued his career in the Call of Duty Challengers tournaments.
He played for four different teams in nearly two months. With the end of the 2021 CDL season, his contract came to an end with the Mutineers. According to the latest news, Slacked has joined KC Pioneers as the content creator of the organization. As he clarified the situation via his Twitter account, the 24-year-old player will still be open for offers from CDL teams.
Josiah explained the move as an “off-season grind”. It is still unclear whether he will be able to find a contract on the biggest stage or continue his career in the Call of Duty League Challengers events.
