Piraknights Games and Team17 have released the first major post-launch update for Sintopia, bringing a host of new gameplay features, balancing improvements, and quality-of-life enhancements to the hellish management simulator.
Known as the Imployee Retention Update, the patch is available now on Steam alongside the game’s launch on the Epic Games Store. To celebrate, Sintopia is also available at 20% off for a limited time through August 10.
The Imployee Retention Update Adds New Management Tools
In Sintopia, players take on the role of a middle manager at Hell Incorporated, overseeing the processing of souls, expanding infernal facilities, and ensuring the underworld runs as efficiently as possible.
The new Imployee Retention Update introduces several tools designed to streamline the management of Hell.
One of the headline additions is the Souls Gate, a new facility that helps organize the flow of incoming souls, directing them toward their intended destinations more efficiently.
Players also gain access to two powerful construction tools:
- Ground Flattener – Permanently removes terrain obstacles, making it easier to expand and redesign your underworld.
- Souls Relocator – Instantly returns misplaced souls to the Hell Plaza without requiring roads or additional rebuilding.
These additions give players more flexibility when optimizing their infernal empire.
Quality-of-Life Improvements Arrive
Alongside the new features, the update delivers a wide range of balancing adjustments and quality-of-life improvements aimed at making everyday management smoother.
The improvements focus on reducing unnecessary micromanagement while improving the overall gameplay experience, helping both new and veteran players build a more efficient version of Hell.
What Is Sintopia?
Developed by Piraknights Games and published by Team17, Sintopia blends management simulation, automation, and dark humor.
Players oversee Hell’s operations by processing sinful souls, constructing increasingly complex facilities, and managing a workforce of mischievous imps. Success depends on expanding your underworld, automating production chains, and keeping the endless flow of souls moving efficiently.
Outside Hell, players can also influence the Overworld by using supernatural powers to shape the beliefs and behavior of its inhabitants, creating new opportunities for their infernal business.
Key Features
Some of Sintopia’s standout features include:
- Manage Hell as a middle manager at Hell Incorporated.
- Process and “re-educate” sinful souls.
- Build and automate an expanding network of infernal facilities.
- Command magical abilities to reshape Hell and influence the Overworld.
- Manage your workforce of imps while optimizing production.
- Balance the Seven Deadly Sins to keep Hell operating efficiently.
