Capcom’s latest SF6 Rashid Release Date drop has blown fans away!
Just recently, Capcom announced the new fighter’s release date along with the new fighter pass.
Here is the forecast for the upcoming storm…
Capcom Tweets Out SF6 Rashid Release Date
According to Capcom’s official Twitter account, Rashid of the Turbulent Wind will be soaring into the fight at the end of July or early August. Although no specific dates have been dropped, the timing of EVO and the ending of his Fighting Pass suggest a release window from July 27th to August 6th. The official release date is July 24th.
Just recently, a trailer was dropped by Capcom on their YouTube account, showing off some turbulent gameplay.
Along with Rashid is the new “Rashid Arrives” Fighting Pass, available from July 4th to 23rd. This pass will be available to purchase for 250 fighter coins, which is around $5.
Rashid will be available to those who purchased the SF6 Ultimate Edition or the Year 1 Character Pass.
Also included in the Fighting Pass is some new avatar gear from Rashid’s own wardrobe. New emotes, stickers, titles, and Capcom’s arcade classic Side Arms. As well as three new music tracks being Rashid, Laura, and Necalli’s SFV themes.

Unfortunately, these music themes being added may suggest that both Laura and Necalli will not make it to the roster. As such, this is some disappointing news for Laura fans and the 3 Necalli mains!
Rashid of the Turbulent Wind
Rashid first appeared in Street Fighter V serving as one of the main protagonists.

His playstyle in SFV was notable for intimidating players with his strong corner trapping and aggressive mixup gameplay. His ability to control the wind gave him both projectile and long-range viability.
Whether or not his moveset will change for the integration into SF6 is yet to be seen. However, if they keep his screen jumps as part of the moveset, he may have a hard time being counted by drive impacts.
But his fast agility will only be enhanced by drive-rush mix-ups, making him an even faster opponent. It would be interesting to see if Rashid can dominate the top of the tier list once more, as he did for SFV.
We should expect Capcom to release a gameplay trailer towards the end of the month showing off his new playstyle.
Additionally, we should anticipate whether Rashid will become an integrated Master in the World Tour Mode. Developers could potentially accomplish this by assigning him his own World Map location or incorporating him into an existing area.
Capcom Fixes Grab Tech Glitch
Another update sneakily done by Capcom but noticed by fans is the fix to the Breoken Tech Throw.
Discovered by users online, the grab tech so easily performed is now no longer working both in online and offline matches.
The Logitech G502 X line features a new way to game with its innovative hybrid switches for speed, precision, and lightweight.
This is great to see Capcom being so on the ball with this kind of fix, which players were starting to exploit.
However, it may be possible to play a version of SF6 with this glitch on a PC or Console by booting up an older version.
