One of the most experienced League of Legends players of all time, Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk has decided to leave Gen.G and look for offers.
This year, Gen.G had an impressive run at LCK. Mainly with Chovy’s lead, the organization won the league and qualified for the Worlds 2022 competition. After the disappointing loss against DRX, the season came to an end for Gen.G. Surprisingly, their star marksman, Ruler decided not to pursue his career under the Gen.G uniform. He is now looking to find himself a new home to rise to the top once again and potentially become the best player in the world.
Gen.G Worlds 2022 Roster
- Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon
- Han “Peanut” Wang-ho
- Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon
- Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk
- Son “Lehends” Si-woo
Ruler’s professional career began back in 2016 under the Stardust roof. After spending a year in the second division of South Korea, he joined Samsung Galaxy’s later Worlds Champion roster. Ruler reached the Worlds Grand Finals in 2016, losing against SKT T1. However, the South Korean ADC then won the trophy in 2017, sweeping SKT T1 and taking revenge for the previous year. He stuck with the organization even though the rebrand as Samsung Galaxy turned into KSV Esports. Finally, Gen.G was formed and Ruler competed under the organization until the end of the 2022 year.
During his career, he was considered one of the best players in the world. Ruler also reached the Worlds Semi Finals two years in a row. He spent five years with the team and now he left the organization. Other teams are most likely in a race to sign the player as he is one of the most valuable players in the League of Legends ecosystem.
His next step will be clear in the upcoming days as teams are considering different rosters for the upcoming season.
