The Chinese representatives, RNG have taken down T1 to lift the MSI 2022 trophy for the third time in their franchise history.
RNG made a great comeback in their regional competition, LPL, and won the league trophy to qualify for MSI 2022. After showing dominant performances, RNG finally took down T1 to lift the MSI 2022 trophy. T1 fought a great war until the last game, forcing a game five of course with Silver Scrapes but it was not enough. RNG have won their third MSI trophy, second in a row and they are now leading the most MSI trophies field.
RNG’s MSI 2022 Roster
The series started with RNG’s dominance in game one. They took down the South Korean giants in 33 minutes and 19 kills. Most importantly, Bin had one of the best matches in his career, carrying his team with 13 kills, 0 deaths, and 3 assists on Gwen. RNG took the psychological lead with a clear stomp but it is almost impossible to tilt the king, Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok. T1 made their comeback to the series with Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong’s great performance.
Thirdly, RNG took another one-sided win and it was Wei who stepped up with his Viego. The Chinese jungler played superbly from the beginning until the end. At the end, RNG had 24 kills and T1 only had 8. However, T1 won the fourth game to stay in the game. It was Silver Scrapes time. Lastly, RNG lifted the MSI 2022 trophy with a dominant performance over their opponents. All the players on the Chinese team played marvelously. They had 15 kills and T1 only had 3 and the game ended after 25 minutes.
The RNG jungler, Wei, won the MSI 2022 Grand Final MVP award. Royal Never Give Up now have three MSI titles in their museum.
