The Chinese representatives, RNG have surpassed Evil Geniuses with a clean sweep to become the first grand finalists of MSI 2022.
RNG have shown convincing performances throughout their MSI 2022 run and finally made it to the final stage. After taking down Evil Geniuses with a score of 3-0 in the semi-finals, they have reached the final stage. RNG are the first team to reach the final stage. Their opponent will be clear after the second semi-final game which is between T1 and G2 Esports.
Royal Never Give Up have always been one of the most dominants teams in LPL. Despite having rough times during the 2022 LPL Spring Regular Season, they still managed to win the title and represent China. The first step of the tournament was easy for them as they didn’t get a single loss in six games. However, the real competition started with the Rumble Stage which also couldn’t stop them. They won eight games and only lost two to finish their second stage journey as the leader.
MSI 2022 RNG Roster
According to the tournament format, they faced Evil Geniuses, the fourth-seeded team of the Rumble Stage. The Chinese team demolished EG’s dreams of reaching the Grand Final. RNG have dominated the map in all three games and completed a clean sweep as well as showing their capacity to T1 and G2 Esports. At the end of the first game, RNGG had 22 kills and EG only had 1. It was one of the biggest dominations of the tournament.
The second semi-final game will decide the other finalist. It will either be T1 or G2 Esports and the question will be answered on May 28. On the other hand, it will be a tight schedule for the finalists as the Grand Final will be played on the other day, May 29.
