Apogee Entertainment and Fuzzy Sock Studios Announce Release Date at Gamescom
Apogee Entertainment and Fuzzy Sock Studios have confirmed that Rising Heat will launch on Steam for Windows PC on October 14, 2025. The bullet hell roguelike blends the chaos of Enter the Gungeon, Geometry Wars, and Vampire Survivors into one gladiator-style space showdown.
Players will step into the cockpit as fighter pilots facing endless waves of alien swarms. Speed, precision, and survival instincts will be the only path forward.
“Rising Heat is my passion project,” said Ronnie Lusso, developer of Rising Heat. “It’s fast, fluid, and endlessly replayable. I want players to feel the flow and lose themselves in the action.”
The Gameplay
Rising Heat pushes horde survival in new directions. Pilots must master momentum-based controls to outmaneuver enemies. There’s no single winning strategy. Players can weave, circle, or smash straight through the swarm using a devastating tackle move.
Loadouts are key. Pilots can customize ships with different hacks, upgrades, and fusions to create unique builds. Co-op mode raises the stakes even higher. Two linked ships share a destructive energy beam that can wipe out foes, or drag teammates into danger if coordination slips.
Key Features
- Momentum Combat – Use physics-driven movement to dodge, tackle, and outfly the horde.
- Custom Loadouts – Experiment with pilots, ships, hacks, and weapon fusions for endless strategies.
- Tactical Planning – Adapt to evolving alien threats and refine your approach run after run.
- Co-op Chaos – Team up with a partner, linked by a deadly energy beam that can turn the tide of battle.
