Riot Games announced a new event within LCS to help women improve themselves in League of Legends and be noticed by professional and amateur organizations. Called LCS Game Changers, the event will begin on September 27.
The new program is designed to support female players in the game. Riot will select ten high ELO League of Legends women players to participate in. Various LCS coaches and staff will also attend the event to train and mentor the players throughout the two-week period.
LCS Game Changers will feature everything that a player needs. The selected players will split into two teams and will start working with coaches and analysts to improve their games. Scrimming against assorted teams, the players will also find chances to listen to a variety of guest speakers who will cover topics such as ‘Life of a Pro’ and ‘Mental Resilience.’
LCS Game Changers will help women players build connections
LCS Game Changers is a program to support women who are high ELO League of Legends players and work to transition them into our amateur and professional leagues. We understand this process can be daunting to do alone, and we’re excited to host this event that will act both as a training and scouting ground to provide women with more paths into the esports scene.
