The Postal 2 Redux Kickstarter hit its goal within just one day!
Running With Scissors launched their campaign, already hitting $250000!
But what should we expect out of this redo of a controversial classic?
Postal 2 Redux Kickstarter
This Kickstarter cannot be good for me, but I feel great!
Postal 2 is one of the most controversial games ever made way back in 2003. Its black comedy and crude humor got it banned in multiple countries. However, in 2024 the developers were approached with the idea of Postal 2 VR.
However, this sparked the Postal 2 Redux Kickstarter campaign. This redux looks to bring Postal 2 in all its glory to Unity on modern hardware. But Unity was chosen so that the team can port it to as many consoles as possible.

With this new version they aim for loading screens to be gone as Paradise becomes a no-load zone! Also a graphical and weapon overhaul that seeks to improve upon the base game.

But for many fans the already exciting aspect of the Postal 2 Redux Kickstarter is the Pigeon Mission. This mission was cut due to budget and time restraints in the original release of Paradise Lost. However, now the boys over at the Dev team aim to bring it to life!
Currently the campaign sits at 250k dollars with stretch goals aiming upwards of 400k. These range from time-of-day effects, sandbox mode and console modding support.

Although the top goal is an extended Postal 2 The Week After mode. This will act as an official sequel to Postal 2, bridging the gap between Postal 2 and Postal 4.
However, Postal 3 is not mentioned anywhere because it is trash and should be forgotten like the waste of space it is.
Brain Damaged is really good as a boomer shooter, though!
This Is Good For Me And I Feel Great
What I encourage readers to do is to check out the Postal 2 Redux Kickstarter and the previous titles. Although there have been dodgy Kickstarters in the past, like with Mighty Number 9, this is different. Running With Scissors is a company that genuinely cares about the game and has been updating a 20-year-old game since release!

It’s the old heads of the original team coming back unrestrained by corporate tape and budgeting. Although Unity has garnered a bad name for slop, used by the right people, it makes a beefy engine.
But if the Postal 2 Redux Kickstarter is not in your interest, then try the original Postal 2. Although it is a 20-plus-year-old game, it’s still some of the most fun to be had on PC.

Unlike the 1st Postal, which was pretty downbeat, 2 is a lot of fun with a hint of sadism. It is known as the most critically divisive game of all time, with people either loving or hating its content.
As someone who still loads it up from time to time, it’s a must-play and for dirt cheap!
Hell, they give it away for free half the time.
