As long as the bonuses you will receive if you decide to pursue this path. Are you ready to start some hunting and get all those Pokémon?
What is the Pokemon GO Spotlight Hour schedule for January 2024?
During these events, the developers of Pokemon GO ensure that a certain type of Pokemon has a very high spawn rate and gives double the experience points once caught. It is, therefore, an excellent initiative both to obtain experience points and advance in level (something that is always good to do) but also to obtain precious candies of that specific Pokemon that allow you to evolve and/or enhance it.
If you are short on candy and want to have greater ease of collection in order to speed up the upgrading and/or evolution process, this is the right time to do it. Every week, you will have a different Spotlight Hour available that will be dedicated to a specific Pokemon, so pay attention and note down the dates and times. In fact, as you can imagine from the name, you will only have one hour available, so organize yourself to make the most of it.
In any case, below is the entire January program:

- January 9th, 2024 (6pm-7pm local time): Eevee (2x Catch Candy)

Barboach Spotlight Hour
The Barboach Spotlight Hour is a special event happening on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2023. It’s a time when Barboach, a cool Pokemon, shows up a lot more in the wild. This happens from 6pm to 7pm local time, making it extra exciting for trainers.
During this special hour, the chances of finding Barboach are super high, almost like it’s everywhere! Plus, if you catch any Pokemon during the Spotlight Hour, you get double the points when your Pokemon evolves. That’s like a bonus for becoming an even stronger trainer.
Oh, and here’s the extra fun part: Barboach can be in a different variant! It might appear as a Shiny Pokemon during the Spotlight Hour. Shiny Pokemon are like rare, special versions of the regular ones, so it’s like finding a treasure. But, guess what? Of course, you can also catch Barboach at other times, not just during the Spotlight Hour. So, keep your eyes peeled for this cool Pokemon whenever you’re out and about playing Pokemon GO!
