What is Pinnacle Cup Malta Vibes#1 about?
Organized by Eden Esports, Pinnacle, and Gaming Malta, it is the next step of the Malta Vibe Series of Events.
Boasting a $50,000 prize pool, this cup has attracted a staggering forty-strong Dota 2 teams to compete!
It is one of the first four-tournament series that adds up to around $200,000!
Pinnacle Cup Malta Vibes Teams and Format:
Matches are best of 3 single-elimination based. But, come to the grand finals, this will change into a best-of-five, which is tough yet fair given the strong lineup.
Pinnacle Cup Malta Vibes has six rounds in total, meaning 39 matches!
Starting with the playoffs format, both the first and second attracted 32 teams, consisting of several notable teams from the Dota 2 Pro Circuit!
Big names such as BetBoom, D2 Hustlers, Into the Breach, Alliance, OG, Virtus.pro, and Old G make up the lineup.
Shockingly, BetBoom and Alliance have not made it past round 3, with Alliance losing to ex-HellRaisers, and BetBoom suffering a defeat from Monaspa!
Right now, the Pinnacle Cup Malta Vibes is heading into its quarterfinal with D2 Hustlersa against Monaspa, Natus Vincere against Into the Breach, Ex-HellRaisers vs. Old G, and Virtus.pro up against OG!
Team OG Vs. Old G?
Excitingly, there is a slight chance if Team OG beats Virtus.pro and Old G beats Ex-HellRaisers, then we will see Old G and OG clash!
Old G is a Dota 2 team formed back in 2022, CONSISTING of OG FAVOURITES: Topson, No-One, Resolou1on, Ceb, and Kitrak.
Seeing Old G clash with the current OG is just one of the exciting possibilities this cup has on offer!
When will Pinnacle Cup Malta Vibes Finals take place?
Matches are still ongoing as of writing this article. We have yet to see the lineup for the semifinals.
The grand finals are scheduled for the 8th of April 2023, only two days away as of writing!
