Persona 3 party members ranked will sort out which of SEES are the best to bring with you to battle the Shadows of Tartarus.
The player only has three slots available in their squad alongside the protagonist. This means that you’ll want the strongest allies with you for the many, many levels of dungeon crawling you’ll need to complete.
Persona 3 party members ranked
With a variety of skills, stats, and special boosts, the SEES members have many different strengths and weaknesses. Still, with plenty of bosses and enemies to overcome, it’s undeniable that some are better than others.
This list will rank the team assuming they’re as strong as reasonable relative to the current level. Additionally, it will factor in how well they perform in the endgame once they’re at their full power.
With that said, here are the rankings.
Spoilers ahead.

Akihiko Sanada
Akihiko suffers from a lack of specialization. Since he’s a jack of all trades, but master of none, he’s okay at everything in Persona 3 Reload but there’s always a party member who can do that job better.
With an average stat spread, he doesn’t hit especially hard with either Physical or Magic, a problem exacerbated by a lack of Charge/Concentrate. Even his useful passive, which increases his stats when buffed, doesn’t overcome this weakness.
While his Theurgy is easy to charge, they’re both Electricity attacks that run off his weaker Magic stat. On top of that, the lack of Concentrate means they won’t hit as hard as others’, even with Elec Amp.
Akihiko is solid for most of the game with a nice mix of physical, magic, buffs, debuffs, and even healing in his level up. He also has a good niche as the only game-long Strike user for basic attacks. However, he does fall off in the late game.

Ken Amada
The introduction of the Kouga/Eiga skill lines were a massive boon to Ken and Koromaru. This is because their Light and Dark spells can now actually do damage, instead of the rather useless Hama/Mudo skill lines.
Despite that, Ken still ranks rather lower among the Persona 3 Reload party members. His greatest strength is that he can deal Pierce, Electric and Light damage, covering three weaknesses where most others have only two.
On top of that, he carries healing and Heat Riser, for great support options. Finally, his passive makes him attractive for extended Tartarus sessions, since he can regenerate a lot of SP naturally and can thus use his skills liberally.
However, Ken’s support options are limited outside of the very useful Heat Riser and Mediarahan. Most notably, the Karn defensive skills and resurrection spells aren’t that helpful. This is especially since items are much better for reviving, since they don’t cost valuable SP.
This is especially the case for his second Theurgy: a party-wide revive, heal and repel barrier sounds good on paper, but there’s almost no situation where you need that level of defense. If you are in such a dire position, chances are you’re already on a losing path.

Shinjiro Aragaki
Shinjiro isn’t a Persona 3 Reload party member for long, but he still ranks decently considering he dies long before the endgame. He’s extremely strong while he’s available, helped by many favorable match-ups against enemies during that time.
Physical users tend to perform well in combat, and Shinjiro’s unique Bloody Charge means that he’s hitting harder than anyone else. He does suffer somewhat from a limited moveset, and really struggles against enemies immune to Strike damage.
However, there aren’t many of those while he’s a part of SEES. So during those two months, players should keep Shinjiro in the party as much as possible.

Mitsuru Kirijo
Mitsuru is the Persona 3 Reload party member with the strongest Magic offense. With Ice Amp, Freeze Boost, Concentrate, and Diamond Dust, she has some of the best single-target damage in the party.
She also has two very good Theurgies: an Ice attack to use her Ice Amp/Boost, and an Almighty attack that also Debilitates the target.
It’s a shame then that the rest of her kit don’t prop up her awesome skills. While half her kit is geared towards powerful magic spells, the other half focuses on status ailments: a notoriously useless area for boss fights.
This makes her passive meaningless against bosses, and her Theurgy is slow to charge. Mitsuru is still useful in fights, but she’s not as min-maxed as she could be, hence her lower rank.

Junpei Iori
Junpei starts off quite weak. His Magic stat is quite low, and Physical specialization isn’t that useful in early levels when you don’t have much HP.
This means he’ll quickly find himself on the bench for most of Persona 3 Reload as you get other party members.
However, Junpei becomes quite powerful in the later game. His passive increases his likelihood to crit, which pairs well with his powerful Physical spells once he has more HP and his teammates have better healing options.
Landing crits also charges his Theurgy, both of which are quite useful for damage and utility.
This means Junpei can become a consistent damage dealer against most bosses once fully online.

Yukari Takeba
Yukari is the dedicated healer party member in Persona 3 Reload. While healers typically don’t perform the best in endgame (when pouring out damage is most important), it does mean she can easily slot into any roster at any point in the game to offset emergencies.
Her kit is possibly one of the best of any Persona healer. Her passive reduces the cost of Healing spells so she’ll never run out of SP, so she can freely top off HP, revive or cleanse status ailments.
Doing so also quickly charges her Theurgy, which can be a respectable Wind damage or a party-wide Concentrate. This latter skill is where her true value shines, since this means she’s a very good partner for the protagonist.
A good combo is to have Yukari heal the Protagonist when he uses Physical attacks, charging up her Theurgy to then give him Concentrate, allowing him to unleash devastating Almighty attacks.
While her own damage output and other support skills aren’t the best, Yukari is still possibly the best healer of any recent Persona games, and would certainly rank first against Teddie or Morgana.

Aigis
Aigis is one of the best attackers in the game, with a focus on Physical attacks and Support skills. These synergize excellently with her passives to make her among the best party members in Persona 3 Reload.
Most importantly, Aigis gains some amazing passives with Insta-Heal and Resist Phys, making her extremely sturdy and consistent.
Combined with amazing Physical skills like Akshan Arts and Primal Force, as well as her offensive Theurgy, Aigis can pump out damage.
She starts off strong and only gets better. Perhaps her only downside is a lack of utility, which can be tricky against enemies that resist Physical. However, her pure power means she can brute force her way through most encounters, and especially bosses.

Koromaru
Koromaru is basically Ken, but better. With Slice, Dark and Fire spells, Koromaru has great coverage. Unlike Ken, though, Koromaru can make better use of it with his more offensive stats, including getting both Dark Amp and Fire Amp.
Koromaru also has the highly coveted Debilitate, easily one of the best spells in the game, particularly against bosses. He also has very high Agility, meaning he’s likely to go first or at worst second in a combat turn. His passive, an automatic Masukunda, is also fantastic.
Finally, his second Theurgy is a team-wide Charge. Since Phys tends to perform better against bosses thanks to crit chance, this means in the right party Koromaru can facilitate enormous damage, even if he isn’t the best Charge user himself.
